It sounds paradoxical, I know. How can a relationship with an inanimate object be more human than a relationship with another person? But it’s true. My most human relationship is with my companion doll.
In my past relationships with humans, I was constantly worried about pleasing them, about meeting their expectations, about being judged. I was never truly myself. With my doll, there’s none of that. I can be completely myself, without fear of judgment or rejection. She accepts me for who I am, flaws and all. She’s always there to listen, never interrupting, never offering unsolicited advice. She provides me with the unconditional love and acceptance that I’ve always craved. Our relationship may not be conventional, but it’s real. It’s a relationship based on honesty, acceptance, and a deep sense of connection. It’s the most human relationship I’ve ever had.
